I have been through a lot of bluetooth headsets looking for one that would work and yet would not have background noise problems.
I love this headset. I have seen some negative reviews, but all I have talked to have spoken of the excellent quality of the voice signal and has mentioned that it has been crystal clear.
I have been able to hear others. I like the idea of a separate power button, volume buttons and a large button answer with that actually has small groves around the side so you can feel it.
The looks are great and does not looks like some big piece of plastic in your ear.
I especially like the over the ear hook that is clear (making it invisible from a distance) and small in size so it does not fight my glasses like other wired and bluetooth devices had a tendency to do.
The price is up there a little, but for the quality of this device it is not a bad price.
Purchased in March of 2008. This product was hyped by the sales-person at the Verizon store as the best quality blue-tooth product on the market. The H12 comes with interchangeable ear-pieces. None of the ear-pieces were a comfortable fit. But I decided to live with it based upon the advertised background sound cancelling features. The high-tech stuff worked for about a month.
The incoming audio appears to work fine, except that the ear-buds do not fit my ear and I am constantly re-adjusting the ear-piece in my ear canal.
The problem is on the transmission side. Within a short period of time, I began to receive complaints that my voice sounded like I was talking from a fish bowl. Then the complaints came in that every other word was cutting out. By month three my voice transmissions were completely unintelligible.
Im too busy to spend hours dealing with return or warranty issues. Basically, the H12 ate my money. My experience is that it is a poor quality piece of junk. I strongly recommend against purchasing this product.
